Christmas without Dad

Christmas is fast approaching... Yet... Something is making me sad about it... You see... For almost 7 years now... Hindi namin kasama si papa during Christmas time due to his job... Me and my mom experienced celebrating Christmas by just the two of us.. I remember one time... We were having a very simple noche buena.. You know the usual stuffs.. And we kept capturing the pictures of ourselves eating.. We would send it to papa to make him inggit on our foods.. But of course... Their food there are better.. An extravagant noche buena filled with lechon... desserts... steaks... Whew!!... But even though his tummy is filled with such a scrumptious feast.. I was so touched when he said.. We are the one who was actually much filled than him... Because we get to spend our Christmas with our family members while he gets to spend it with shipmates...

This year, he was supposed to return to land to spend Christmas with us.. It was a sudden news,, so mom was thinking to cut the budget and save some bucks... I told her that I was willing to give up my brace money (i was scheduled to have my braces put on by mid december)... She started compute our budgets when dad informed us that Christmas will be postponed again... Sadly, he won't be with us again....

Don't know when.... Don't know how... But still, I'm waiting for that time when I can see our whole family eating noche buena together... Just even once??
