"JACOB."....
he was there when "edward" left "bella".
he was there when "bella" was in state of depression
he was there to love, care & protect "bella"

but.
"BELLA"....
she loves "jacob", but not as much as she loves "edward"
she loves "jacob", but not in the same way she is in love with "edward"

was he JACOB?

BUT IN MY STORY.
"edward" .never did return but instead, he stood by his word, that
"I promise that this will be the last time you’ll see me. I won’t come back. I won’t put you through anything like this again. You can go on with your life without any more interference from me. It will be as if I’d never existed. -Edward"


i never got my happy ending. and so did "jacob".
